Original Source: Desert Rose. A Styled Bridal Shoot at Almscliffe Valley
The Nevada Desert lies at the heart of today’s styled bridal shoot, bringing American boho chic to the rural setting of Almscliffe Valley in the Yorkshire countryside.
Led by Emily from personalised wedding planning, styling and design business Emily K Weddings, the shoot is a light, bright and thoroughly elegant affair featuring glorious tipis and even a caravan style bar named Geneva. A pampas grass chandelier, macramé, bunting and candles combine to create a rustic backdrop that’s sure to have the outdoorsy brides among you pinning to your heart’s content.
A lace gown and statement headwear with soft textured hair and a muted makeup palette complete the boho look, beautifully complimented by accents of soft pinks, burnt oranges and corals within the bride’s wild and wonderful floral bouquet. Desert-inspired styling at its finest.

Inspiration
Emily says: We’ve all been swooning over the landscapes of the Nevada Desert with weddings across the pond flashing up on our Instagram feeds. The colours, the textures and the uber chic boho style are moving away from the welly and log slice look and, instead, embracing wild, elegant and organic trends.
We wanted to recreate this look in the heart of Yorkshire to show couples the potential of styling a blank space tipi from Bar Events and creating breathtaking installations to add impact and interest. Of course, there was a caravan bar too, cutely named Geneva courtesy of Applewood Weddings. All this was captured by the talented Weddings By Nicola. Her laidback, non-pose style of wedding photography was perfect for the shoot!
